Welcome to Disa Specialist Surgeons, a general surgery practice based at Vincent Pallotti Hospital . Our surgeons are Dr Ian Lorimer, Dr Bernie Maree and Dr Anna Coccia. We offer a range of major and minor surgical procedures as well as an endoscopy service.

Our surgical cover comprises emergency surgery and a range of general elective procedures including hernia and gallbladder surgery, colorectal and perianal work, as well as breast,thyroid and parathyroid surgery. We have a particular interest in keyhole surgery and perform the majority of abdominal procedures laparoscopically. We also follow the principles of the by now well established Enhanced Recovery after Surgery programme that aims for early mobilisation after surgery and earlier discharge from hospital when appropriate.

We have our own facilities and experienced staff to perform gastroscopies and colonoscopies in our rooms , and can also do these as in hospital procedures when necessary. We, along with Dr Aaron Ndhluni , will provide a 24 hour on call service at Vincent Pallotti Hospital to look after our own patients and be available for  emergency surgical referrals.
